Very nice lodge to explore the amazing Nakuru park

This is a safe, well maintained, convenient lodge to spend a couple nights and enjoy the park. The number one asset is the staff, they are extremely kind and professional. The rooms are simple but nice.

I guess the one thing that could be improved is the food. Nothing alarming, we had all of our meals at the buffet and always found stuff to eat. It's just that desserts all look nice but disappoint in the mouth - which is something I could say about many places in the country though, even ArtCaffe in NBO.

A great option at a reasonable price to enjoy the Nakuru game reserve. We had a great time.

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is an amazing lodge located inside the Nakuru national reserve. We had an amazing time and we enjoyed the hotel and the game drives in the reserve. The hotel offered an upgrade to the suite, which we really enjoyed. Great set up, with very nice garden and views to the lake, and great buffet options. We would recommend staying here.

Nothing to mention. We had a great time and we are very greatful to the staff. Maybe to mention that the road between Nairobi and Nakuru is very busy and that at certain times we had some concerns on road safety. However, we would recommend doing this road to discover the communities in the Rift Valley.

Nice place to stay

The people were good, the reception guy called Nelson were really nice and funny. There was birds feeding area the kids and adults enjoyed it, also they had fishs and frogs that can be feeded too

The extra bed were not so comfy

Beautiful and peaceful in a wildlife haven

the location set in Nakuru Game park . our lodge was very comfortable and clean . the buffet meals were substantial and appetising with plenty of choice . the staff were very friendly and attentive but not intrusive.Consolata deserves a special mention she was a real credit to the organisation. weals enjoyed ‘Geralds’ music .

We knew we had to pay $240 for game park entry . But it was a substantial extra cost . would be great if Sarova could offer some discount

Very personalized experience

Bed was excellent; dinner was great and staff took special care to celebrate the honeymooners. Staff all warm and welcoming. Dinner was very good. Saw so many lions and a leopard!

Lunch was not exciting and a bit dry on the buffet when we arrived at 1:00. Hairdryer on room didn’t work.

Wonderful place to stay with a view of the lake through the...

Wonderful place to stay with a view of the lake through the trees. Many birds. Excellent food. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms and warm showers. Clean blue pool surrounded by flowering bushes. Close enough to the main gate so you can exit in morning in time not to have to pay for a second day park fee. We saw rhinos lions hippos giraffes colobus monkey and many birds including a few flamingos.

A fabulous stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

We loved everything about our stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. It was very comfortable, the food was excellent and loads of choice at the buffet. The staff looked after us extremely well and made everything very easy. The rooms are very comfortable with hot showers and big comfortable beds and there was lots of space. We took our own car and went out into the park, feeling safe with wardens around keeping an eye on things and returned to a lovely meal and entertainment in the evenings. Remember to allow for park fees when you arrive as Lion Hill is in the middle of the National Park and this is a separate cost per day. We would definitely recommend Lion Hill and hope to return.

It was a good place for a mini safari around Nakuru lake.

It was a good place for a mini safari around Nakuru lake. The staff was friendly and the restaurant quite good. The Kenyan cultural performance was fun.

Wifi was not working in the restaurant and was working badly in the rooms. The room was very basic, no comparison with Sarova in Masai Mara in the same Kenya. There was no AC neither fans and it was quite hot at night.

The staff was amazing, I liked the hotel very much by far the best hotel in Nakuru. Beautiful nature and great service!! I will definitely come back. Very recommended if you want to visit the national park

Not easily accessible. I also think management should have a car at the property for emergencies in case someone needs to go urgent to town as the hotel is kind of like secluded in the National park.

Excellent two night stay, highly recommendable

Breakfast lunch and diner were very impressive. Great variety of foods, deserts, fruits and so on. The stagg were very helpful and always in for a chat. Nakuru National Park is easily accessible. We saw plenty of lions and rhino's as well as other wildlife

After diner all guests go to bed and as a result the nights were very quiet. Not really a 'deal breaker' obviously but it would be nice to catch up along the camp fire!

This really doesn't have to do with with hotel but since it is located inside the national park we had to pay an entrance fees at the entranxe of the park for each night which I thought was crazy expensive since we are forgeniers

The wildlife around the hotel - it is hard to find a mix of game viewing and excellent hotel facilities.

The fact that they do not provide packed meals for game drives so one has to get back to the hotel for meals.
